New Apple Mac Pro
Millions of possible configurations, each delivering breakthrough performance for everything from video editing to scientific visualization and more.
Every Mac Pro offers the incredible power of two 64-bit Dual-Core Intel Xeon microprocessors — with 4MB of shared L2 cache per processor and 1.33GHz dual independent frontside buses. You choose the processor speed — 2GHz, 2.66GHz, or 3GHz.
Configure your Mac Pro with up to 16GB of 667MHz DDR2 fully buffered ECC memory. This new fully buffered memory architecture allows for greater memory capacity, faster speeds, and better reliability, and at 256 bits wide, it boosts memory bandwidth and application performance.
Mac Pro offers four independent, 3Gb-per-second Serial ATA hard drive channels — twice as many and twice as fast as the previous generation — allowing you to install up to four 500GB drives. Connecting and disconnecting the drives couldn’t be easier thanks to a new cable-free, direct-attach system inside the enclosure.
Every Mac Pro graphics card supports dual displays and at least one 30-inch display. For more graphics horsepower, upgrade to the powerful ATI Radeon X1900 XT, or the NVIDIA Quadro FX 4500 workstation card for advanced 3D stereo visualization3. Each upgrade graphics card has 512MB of video memory and can power two 30-inch Apple Cinema HD displays.
Install PCI Express cards such as video capture, audio DSP, fibre channel, or additional graphics cards into the three full-length PCI Express Expansion slots. A newly designed PCI bracket with captive thumb screws allows tool-less installation and removal of cards.
